I could barely move due to the foot injury i got from hockey the other day. I suppose the supporting ligaments and tendons of my right foot may have been injured or even worse, a bone may have been fractured. The injury affected not only the foot but also within 10 cm above my ankle - i could hardly support my weight whenever i tried to walk on it, and would feel severe pain when moving the joint. Yes, it was that awful. And you know what, i was not enjoying every single moment of it. It was totally a devastating experience.
And it's even more devastating when i saw snow falling outside my apartment after a long, hot shower yesterday morning. A moment i had been waiting for, for 3 whole years, and my wish finally came true. I have always wished to see snow showers from my bedroom window as soon as i wake up one morning during winter. And yesterday seemed to be the legendary day in Hobart. What was more interesting was to know that i was not the only one getting all excited seeing snowfalls outside my home, the locals here were too. But damn! If only i could walk, i would have gone out to play with the snow.
And so on that day, my sympathetic boyfriend got his mate's car (as his car was sick and dying) to drive us up the mountain. I was, of course, limping the whole time i was there but the boots that i was wearing were so tight they lessened the pain; it made me slightly walk-able than before - thanks to the boots I bought 2 yrs ago: still in good shape and have always been useful *Well it better be because it was damn expensive!!* On the mountain snow showers was fairly heavier than the one outside home, and i had a lot of fun playing in the snow.
Yesterday credit went to boyfriend of course, for his humanity and thoughtfulness, and his eagerness to show me the beauty of nature, something he knows is of rare and precious experience to me.
