Just came back from my parents’ place actually. Kenji and I had stayed there overnight as I got quite lazy to go home by the time Kenji came back from work.
Last night, Kenji returned at about 10-ish p.m. and I was feeling tired by the time he arrived (at my parents’ place) given a whole day’s effort in helping my parents out with their mini Chinese New Year family reunion.
Mum had some sort of siblings-gathering throughout the day yesterday despite a no-apparent-occasion-to-celebrate, really, and I am saying this because we’re not Chinese people yet we celebrated (kind of) the day.
So I was at my parents’ place the entire day yesterday helping mum out with serving of her guests and preparing endlessly the BBQ food and steamboat buffet, which we had for everyone who was there.
It was exhausting no doubt. But despite the exhaustion though, I still went to bed as a happy person. Because in all, things turned out fine for everyone, and I really had a wonderful time.
So this morning, Kenji and I woke up earlier than usual as we had to get back home in time - Kenji had to get ready soon enough to leave home once again but for work.
So after coffee at 8, Kenji and I headed home, then Kenji got all ready for work and I saw him off very soon after that.
Since that time though, I have been home alone, done nothing much really except reading online articles I had occasionally found interesting. And at times when I got really sick of reading (or resting my ass on the chair rather), I’d get up and mop the flat’s dusty floor.
Like yesterday, Kenji will be working a whole day again today, and I’m guessing I will probably just stay home for the rest of the day, do the things I have been doing earlier and also perhaps, tidy up the flat a bit more.
So hope today’s going to be another good day for me regardless! And to all my Chinese readers, have a happy Chinese New Year.
