Pre- and post Japan outings.

Can be considered quite a late update for the occasions below. Here are 3 'recent' events I found rather significant of times in my pre- and post-Japan period so here they are up on my blog. Enjoy!

Seen above is a sushi platter (though not quite a platter to me, I mean, if compared to that of Hobart's Orizuru). This one here is Kuriya's. I had about 3 hours of catch-up-over-Japanese dinner at Kuriya with my IKOMA mates (and Kenji) before flying to Nagoya to visit my in-laws that very same night. Dinner that night was classy (includng the sushi platter above) - a great start to my next few authentic Japanese meals in Japan. We (me, Kenji, Sam, Ghee Wei, Chin-san, ZhengHan, Yamane sensei and Khoon Lay) were then at Kuriya, Raffles City. For the great, great company and making it all happen, I must say thanks! once again especially to Ghee Wei and Sam for the hard work in putting the meet up all together, and the rest, in making it happen.

That night too we celebrated Sam's birthday + ZhengHan's send-off for studies in Adelaide. Also a night I received some Japanese souvenirs from Chin-san who just came back from Tokyo (?? was it Tokyo? Sorry, Chin-san. I can't quite remember where it is by now). Anyhow, looking forward to seeing them all once again real soon.

This one here (above) is somewhat a celebration of Kenji's birthday. Kenji and I went on a 'water tour' around some islands of Singapore a day after his birthday. Frankly, I've been on this Chinese junk for the same water tour before, and I can say it wasn't really impressive. But for Kenji who loves nature, it was rather a good escape for him from the daily, mundane routine in the garden city of Singapore.

These ones here are a trip to Sentosa. I went there with Marliza (2nd pic), a secondary school mate, who insisted on doing some catching up in Sentosa on one of the days she was free. We ended up spending about 7 hours together starting from the meet up at Jurong East bus Interchange to VivoCity, then to Sentosa and back to VivoCity. That night, Marliza trained all the way back home to Boon Lay. And I, to Raffles Place to pick up the husband. It was a really fun day!! Looking forward to another one just like it someday!

*pic of me with a large orange in Sentosa is obtained from Marliza's site.
