A week of catching-ups.

This week has been quite an awesome week for me. I was out almost every other odd day of the week ("odd" not referring to weird or strange, but more of the antonym of even) with my sisters, relatives and a few old friends. Kenji, as usual, was out of the picture. If it wasn't for an all-girls outing or a clash with his work schedule, Kenji would have probably been there to see me enjoy my time this week I'm sure.

Monday: afternoon was spent dining out and shopping with Nunun and Murni. So we were in the city the whole afternoon. Taking advantage of the Great Singapore Sale, we shopped at Paragon right away after lunch at a Japanese restaurant (and window-shopped a bit, as Nunun went on almost a shopping spree. NOT! I was just kidding. Nunun didn't really shop that much, she just got attracted to the shops along the way and entered some (shops) but bought from 2. I think). We left for home later in the evening and I joined Murni and Nunun to visit my mum who was quite unwell.

Wednesday: evening, together with Nunun and Murni (again!), I caught up with Su and Nad at Bugis. We were supposed to meet up at 7 at the Sultan Mosque as planned by Su. But when I arrived, none of the girls were there yet. Only much, much later when almost everyone had arrived, we decided to head to Banquet, Raffles Hospital for dinner. Well, if you've never been to Singapore, you would probably think it crazy for choosing to dine at a hospital. But the food culture in Singapore is slightly different. Hospitals provide a kind of food court with a range of but mainly Chinese cuisine for public's consumption. And not to worry, the hospital environment is one not with a somber mood. So dining at Banquet, Raffles Hospital was similar to dining at any other food court available in Singapore. Dinner that night was good, as always, and the company was great. What's best was the conversation we had for I had lots of fun chit-chatting with the girls. On another note however, I am very sorry for Dada who was supposed to be there but could not make it because of some problems at home that day. I am very sure it would have been better if she was around. Overall though, I had a lovely time catching up with the girls and I really hope we could all meet up again sometime soon.

Friday: was spent hanging out with Kenji. We saw Love and Honor (or its Japanese title Bushi no Ichibun), a Japanese film, perhaps the only thing significant I could recall on that day. On Saturday, the only day of the week not odd, I had tea with some old secondary school friends and their spouse (or family, for some). We met at Jamaliah's place at about 3p.m. and stayed on all the way until about 11 at night. Kenji managed to join us but only after work in the evening (which is the reason why the tea got extended). I had a lot of fun that day and really hope to meet up again with all soon. Thanks to everyone for making the meetup happen and to Marliza especially for her initiative to the meetup.

In short, I had an awesome week this week. Thanks to everyone for the great time spent. Am hoping for more great stuff coming my way in the weeks to come. So take care for now.

yes, I brought Swensen's blackforest ice-cream cake over to my friend's. Just a substitute for my laziness to a home-made dish! Haha! Anyways, yes, I had a lovely time with you girls. Better than any hari raya outing, I must say!!!! :) Missing you all already! Take care.
