My Plans To HK (Tuesday 15/05/07)

I have been spending the past few days thinking about going to Hong Kong. The idea came up when Uncle Razali talked about him and family having plans to go there this June while the Idris family were celebrating Mother's Day at the Idris’ place last Sunday. I thought of going to Hong Kong after Auntie Hanani shared her thoughts of joining them in the country, bringing with her, grandPa and grandMa. It sounded fun, to me, going on holiday with a whole lot of relatives traveling together. And since I am rather free from any official commitments, I thought I should take up the opportunity and join them too. So since then, I have been making travel plans of my own and am now waiting for Uncle Razali and family to confirm theirs. If I go to Hong Kong, I will be on my own as Kenji will be in Singapore working. Also, since I will be having a totally different budget plan as compared to the rest of the people going, I supposed this will make me quite on my own when I am there later. But anyhow these are all just plans. No one, so far, has bought air tickets yet. Uncle Razali is on the SIA staff waiting list, I haven’t spoken to Auntie Hanani since Mother's Day, and Auntie Normala, who decided on joining the keen Hong Kong-goers only towards the end of the Mother's Day celebration, has looked into some available flights. So this means, nothing is confirmed yet though I am just a step away to buying my tickets! Then again, I might not go after all, I don’t know. It all depends… Anyhow you might want to see what I have checked out so far. Below are what I have looked into about traveling to and in Hong Kong:

Jetstar Flight (return + all taxes) = S$373.00
Budget Accommodation (4D3N) = S$96.00
Hong Kong currency: SGD1 = HKD5.1524 (not bad eh?)
