Ill + on for more Eid BUT Kenji's Tired of it (Wednesday 01/11/06)

Been ill for the past few days, so I was on an unofficial MC from duties at home. Home since then has been pretty messy with used dirty dishes left all over the place, used crumpled tissue papers lying all over the tables and floors of different parts of the home, dirty clothes dumped in the laundry basket in the kitchen waiting to be washed, and clean clothes left dried but still hanging since the weekend.

I was down with an acute gastro-something, which “doctor Kenji” had diagnosed me with since the first time I produced the symptoms. Not sure if his diagnosis was right, yet his judgments from observations he made following the symptoms I produced and the effects I gave off seemed to appear sound enough for me. So the acute gastro-something, which he identified me with but one, which I do not remember what its complete term is by now, was perhaps what I was really suffering from. Not much energy to disagree about it anyways, so I just went along with his diagnosis as long as it was not something offbeat to me.

So yeah, I have got this acute gastro-something, which ended me up pretty much bedridden or otherwise tottering but only for the most unusually frequent visits to the bathroom, that also made me all so weak the whole of the 2 days. And because I haven’t been ill for quite sometime, the pain and the weakness that I felt made me repeatedly think I was going to die out of this illness somehow. Strange thoughts but I guess I have heard similar expression from some other people I ever came across who apparently naturally expressed the same way as I had when they were sick too!

So right now I am feeling much better, thanks be to God who have made me well again - and who have made me well throughout Ramadhan as well as on the ‘important’ days of Eid celebration, speaking of which gets me all excited once more for the upcoming weekend for more house-to-house visits and continued feastings. While I am one excited person looking forward to the weekend for a never-ending house-to-house visits, Kenji on the other hand thinks he has had enough of the Eid celebration and has been pleading me to escape Friday night’s house-to-house visit by going to a sushi bar with him.

Not quite sure where I will be this Friday night for that reason, I might, one way or another, persuade Kenji to come along for more Eid celebration ;p Then again, I guess it is best to stay home for me for more rest as I have just recovered from some tummy-related pain, and eating raw food at a sushi bar or feasts from others’ homes might just recur the ache. So to my relatives, I’m sorry if I can’t make it to your homes this week though I will really try hard to.

More importantly for now, gaining health means commencing household duties. I guess it is another round of spring-cleaning that I will need to do after not being able to maintain the cleanliness at home, two weeks since the first spring-cleaning was done for the Eid celebration. Well, good luck to myself. Let’s just hope I gain some sympathy from Kenji tomorrow for the household chores as well as the sushi bar-thingy.
