Today is Hasan���s BMT Passing out Parade. We were invited to attend the ceremony, but we were all late all because mum never did look at the invitation card properly. But luckily she got the date right! Isn���t it a sign that she���s just getting old?? (And so she���s quickly forgiven).
Upon arrival, I found Hasan���s camp just like a school with a couple of buildings with rooms like classrooms, some fields and an assembly area. Probably the only difference is that it was pre-occupied with pretty much an army environment ��� soldiers everywhere, and the use of army terms like calling the canteen ���the cook house���, etc.
At the parade just now, Hasan received the BN Best Shot award. I���m not quite sure what BN stands for though, and I don���t really care either for most annoyingly we didn���t get to see him collecting the award all because we were late!
But later I was told by the RSM (not sure what RSM means but I guess he is someone up there in the hierarchy) who told me that my bro topped the other 400 soldiers in the shooting thing. He added saying that it was difficult to score full marks for it so it seems like Hasan did a good job. Good on ya, Hasan!
For the first time ever, I feel proud of my bro though I still couldn���t understand the degree of his achievement���
